Recently, a new version of a heads-up display was unveiled by Elbit Systems. Designed to allow pilots to access all the flight information they need, SKYLENS enables pilots to takeoff and land in low-visibility conditions, with eyes forward, not worrying about instruments on the plane’s panel.
Heads-Up Displays are fascinating, really nothing new, but always being redesigned for future uses. They were made for pilots, imagined in video games, and used in new ways. Heads-Up displays will be how we cut through the glare and see what’s ahead. They will be used for showing us all the information we can’t, and they take many, many forms.
